Brian represented a young man (17 at the time of the accident) who was a passenger in his friend’s car, when they were involved in an accident in which the car crashed into a bollard. His friend was killed instantly, and Brian’s client sustained life changing injuries - including one below-knee and one above-knee amputation. Brian successfully settled the claim for £2 million. The young man was an outstanding amateur footballer at the time of the accident, and did not let his accident deter him from an athletic career, having since gone on to play professional disabled basketball in the England Disabled Basketball squad.
